Bryan and Melinda have been combining their talents since 1995.

Together they have over 50 years experience doing what they do.

Melinda has a Bachelor of Fine Art from San Francisco Art Institute. Why would a Texas girl go to college in San Francisco, you ask. Her first choice was Chicago Art Institute but the weather in San Francisco is much more favorable. Melinda began creating art as a small child under the guidance of her grandfather who was a painter, graphic designer, and photographer. She won several awards while in school, including Houston Livestock & Rodeo awards and the Ruth Pershing Uhler award presented by the Houston Museum of Fine Art and the Houston Chronicle. After returning home to Houston, she decided the best way to earn a living right away would be to go into graphic art.

Bryan has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A & M. Wanting to understand how his stereo worked led him to pursue that line of study. Before he put his technical education to work, he let his passion and talent for music lead his life and he worked for a sound company in Dallas called Sound Productions, where he managed and repaired instruments of national and international touring bands, particularly focusing on electronic synthesizer repair and calibration. After being strongly encouraged by his father to “get a real job” he became a government contractor working on guided missile projects. Eventually he fell into computer programming and wrote apps for the WorldWide Web back when it was text-based. He has since been involved in web applications and tools on both an administrative and architectural level.

When Melinda met Bryan, he taught her how to use her first graphic application and how to author HTML. Now they’ve formed DoubleDog Publishing and look forward to bringing your projects to life.
